| I put my recently purchased unfired BCM middy up for sale and am suprised at the lack of interest. Thought these things were the cats ass. They fly off the shelves when dealers get them in. I'm asking just what I paid, figured it would sell first day since they are hard to come by. Is the resale value just not there? |
TAKE IT TO A GUN SHOW AND IT WILL SELL ,they are $449.99 new from a dealer (Denny has them) most folks trust a dealer more than a private party.
|
And most everyone here knows they were just released and they're probably wondering why he has it for sale. |
I bought two and decided to keep one. Buying the second was an impulse buy and I needed the money for other toys so I put it up for sale. |
Since they are in high demand and low supply I don't think asking what I have in it is out of line. I ship fedex insured for the full amount, I've done plenty of business here localy and shipping, no risk for a buyer if you ask me. |
Yeah right. This is all beside the point anyways, cause I sold mine. |
Plus, we only have a seller's word for it that a used upper isn't abused and all shot out. Feedback rating is on past transactions, and a seller can go bad at any time. Plus, I can leave you a +1 each day for 50 days if I want. Until we get the "new EE" that is supposed to handle all this better, feedback on here is like the honor system. Used = needs to be significantly cheaper than new, even if it is like new. ETA: For the record, I saw your upper. If I hadn't just built my middy from an Armalite barrel, I would have contacted you. |
True, there are some buyers who are cheap. I sell quite a bit online, very rarely do I have to mark down a new item much below new pricing. So there are lots of buyers out there who don't see it that way, or aren't as cheap anyway. |
