What other tools/items do I need to remove the stock so I can attatch my new sling mount? Afraid I'm going to break something, so thought I'd ask the experts...

I tried, but all I managed to do was bash my knuckle so far. Afraid I was gonna break it too. Do I need a strap wrench?

A castle nut wrench and elbow grease is all you need.  When you remove the castle nut do not loose the rear take down spring or detent.

You may need to un-stake the nut before you remove it..

Take a small punch & hammer it lightly until the metal is pushed in the opposite direction of the stake. It may help to have the lower in a receiver block so it's secured nice & steady. Good luck.
