I purchased a Stag stripped lower last week . As soon as I pull the rest of the cash together I  plan to order my kit to build.  This will be a used as a hunting / shooting rifle - so I am leaning towards a Bull barrel kit from J&T with  a 1:8 twist.  I have read good reviews about J&T .  The other option I would consider would be a 20" HBAR Stag upper  with a RRA lower kit.  The Stag upper comes with a flattop and BUIS.

If I go with the J&T, the rifle has the option of 20, 22 or 24" barrel.  I think that a 24" barrel would be a little much.  What length would you recommend ?  Any concerns with the J&T Bull Barrel kit?

If you're going to be lugging it around in the field, you might soon curse a HBAR/bull barrel AR.

You won't see much of an accuracy difference if you get a quality barrel that is lighter.

I would personally stick with a 20" max...
