I'm building my AR15 finally, and I have a question.

I want to purchase a Larue Tactical sling, but have a question about mounting. I have a Magpul CTR stock, so I'll need to buy a swivel mount for it. However, I was wondering what I will need to mount the sling to my upper.

I just purchased a DelTon M4 complete upper. It says it comes with a swivel sling mount, but is it one that will fit the Larue Sling? Or will I need to purchase a different swivel?

Thanks ahead of time.

I've got a LaRue Tactical-Viking Tactics sling and they only come with built in heavy duty push button quick detach sling swivels.

If you're not willing to buy an expensive front quick detach sling mount for the front sight base, I would just suggest getting a side barrel mounted under the front sight base which is cheaper way to do it from Del-Ton.

The LaRue slings are made for them by Viking Tactics and they only come with built in quick detach sling swivels, but Viking Tactics make their own wide padded sling (model VTAC-MK2) same as the LaRue except without the sling swivels, they also cost less.

The Magpul CTR could take either the direct sling webbing mount on its slot or quick detach sling swivels on its quick detach sling mount.
