LaRue Rails have a built in QD at the rear of the rail. So depending on where you intend to attach the sling you may not need the sling adapter. Save some money and get a standard charging handle with the PRI big latch. The Gas Buster is not needed for that setup. |

I'd rework the lower too - nothing wrong with OLY, but at least look at the MEGA, Spike's, CMMG, DPMS, Anvil lowers too. I'd go with a CTR stock myself; I like it as a better alternative to the CAA stock (although it lacks battery carrying capacity). I'd personally swap the MIAD for the CAA grip, but I'm also huge fan of the MIAD. The Upper looks great all around! Your list would be good go to - just double check what you want with the lower, and press the button (funds permitting), looks great so far. |

Yea, I know the Oly lower is on the LOWER end.. but it is what I have now. Someday I will upgrade to Stag or something of similar quality and then probably add an upgraded trigger. I am liking the idea of having a CR123A storage area in the butt of my rifle. I know I would probably be able to put a few in the LaRue front grip, but I want to minimize how heavy my rifle is towards the muzzle end. |
PRI gas buster is intended for use if you are shooting with a suppressor. I like them for any build I do because they are so sturdy and well built. Is it needed in this case no but can't hurt either. Depends mainly on your budget. |
It can hurt, or at least stink. Try shooting an AR left handed w/ a Gas Buster. Even better, try shooting full auto, suppressed w/ Wolf ammo. |
I have been underwelmed with CAA quality. My brother has the cheek piece and the plastic is way to thin to be a on a weapon. Some buddies have some of their stuff to and most of their gear is crap IMHO |
