Hi all,

Building a new SBR, and intend to use 11.5" Bushmaster barrel assembly with basic RRA 6 pos. telestock. Don´t know weight of the buffer ( no markings ) but which buffer should i use ? Normal, H1 or H2.  Also intend to put Noveskes KX 3 to it´s nose, then how about these buffers weight´s....Thank´s in advance

I'd go with the H-buffer, Beercan. This is the one that came in a factory 11.5" set-up, and it stands to reason it would be a good start with your build.

I think anything heavier (ie H2, Hx, 9mm) would be an intential tweak to either influence cyclic rate, or solve some problem - if one came up.

The blank buffer is the standard carbine buffer, and may well serve your purpose. I just haven't used one with the 11.5 to say.

I run a standard weight buffer in my 11.5" and have had zero problems, with or without a supressor.

I'd start with the H buffer and go from there, but I wouldn't go out an buy one.  I have an H buffer in my 11.5, but I've heard of others who have had better reliability with standard buffers.

Start with a standard buffer.  the only reason to upgrade buffers (IMHO) is if the gun doesn't function quite right with the stock weight one.

I think the 'H-buffer' has taken on a mystique far beyond what it really does.

I built the same type SBR, 11.5", all BM parts.
I asked BM about the buffer weight. They replied saying if it was a SA only, the standard buffer would work just fine and it does.
Hope this helps.
