Ok guys need some help.  I am looking at ordering my complete upper.  J&T 16" Barrelled CAR or the Expidetion, free floating, gas blockflash supressor a2 cause it is free.  I am looking for to get the most out of my weapon, like all of us.  I plan on using it mostly to play around in the woods, hunting a little range time, not thousands of rounds.  Yes I will be reloading also.  I know, I will lose some accuracy with chrome but how much?  HBAR vs Standard.  What are you all getting down range on preformance?  Thanks guys!!

get chrome lined, light weight.  like any barrel, some manufacturers are better than others.  LMT makes a great chrome lined barrel.  No HBAR, thats just extra weight, and unless your shoot FA you wont need to worry about heat.

(HBAR is a gimic to sell barrels that are have less machine work and so are cheaper to make)

I had an HBAR, had it turned down to light weight, best decision I've made.

Get chromed.

I have an HBAR and dont hind it one bit, it was cheaper to. However in the future I would probably get the M4 profile.

I wouldnt get a light weight.

My favorite config so far. Longevity will prolly outlast the average shooter. Not sure that reliability has anything to do with the barrel profile. Accuracy is usually dependent on the person pulling the trigger but if you get it hot enough then you could see some significant change. I really can't tell a difference between my chrome lined, chrome-moly or SS barrels but I'm not OCD about paper groups unless zeroing. Some barrel types are better than others but for the most part most will serve you well. Skip on the hbar if you can.

Go Chrome or risk stuck cases, a ramrod, and a half hour cussing about it
