I am planning my first AR build and am looking at all the different brands to go with. My question is which Lower? I would like to go all LMT but do not like the price. I am debating between these: Stag Rock River Mega I want to build the gun to have matching upper/lowers. I am concerned with the stag because I have seen reviews and youtube vids where the fit and finish is not good at all. What would you guys reccomend in a brand for the AR? Any other options are more than welcome and any help is greatly appreciated. |

Any of the 3 will work, pick your favorite logo. I like Denny's GTS lower. It's manufactured by Stag but I prefer the simple rollmark, and I like doing business with Denny. I wouldn't get too hung up on the matching. Every batch of receivers is going to come out a little different. I've got a complete factory rifle that has a slight difference between the upper and lower. |

I've been liking theSpike's Tactical lowers lately, but those Mega lowers look good too, although I've never had one. ETA: welcome to the boards! |
| I have a Spike's lower and a Rock River tactical entry upper that I got from Pete at Legal Transfer's that fit really tight together and the finish matches really good too. Both Pete and Spike have good reputations here and if your going with Rock River Pete's prices are hard to beat. |
