I am making a new handguard nut and really dont want to disable my rifle till its done.  Does anyone know the thread size and tpi of the nut that retains the barrel to the reciever.

1.250" -18 tpi is what Brownells sells as a tap to clean and chase uppers

1 3/16" -16tpi for lower buffer tube
