[ARCHIVED THREAD] - barrel ID

I bought a (mostly) RRA rifle last wknd. the upper and lower are marked RR, but not sure about the barrel, as it also has a different front sight base. How do I tell what the barrel is? Also, is it possible to put the FSB on crooked? It may be my imagination, but it seems slightly canted.

Most barrels are marked in the FSB area, and yes an FSB can be canted. Take a good look at the barrel and post what letters and numbers you find.

Have you zeroed the sights yet? May want to do that first, see if it takes an excessive amount of windage to get it zeroed. Sometimes the FSB is not canted as much as you think.

I will check that out.

I looked at the barrel and the only markings I see is the numbers 200 next to the d-ring with what looks like 3 little tick marks next to it. Does that tell you anything?
