This is my first build. I feel the addiction! This is a 24 inch .204 E.R. Shaw barrel, Stag lower, RRA Upper. Next is a new scope. Kinda got my eye on a leatherwood. Any suggestions or comments or ideas on my build will be greatly appreciated! I used Testors to color in the stamp. Thank you for all the input posted on this site. I could not have got this far without you all.

Nice rifle.  I have a friend with almost the same config.  Shoots very small groups.

I don't understand the the collapsible stock on the 24" barrel. The gun will will be very nose heavy.  Looks like you intended the build for accuracy so a different stock would make it easier to achieve.  Just my opinion.   again nice shooter.

The reason for the stock is when my kids or wife want to shoot. I figured it might make it a bit easier for them to learn when they can hold the rifle correctly.

Get a LMT SOPMOD it weighs a little more and will help balance the rifle out

Nice btw!

BRD, I like it! Any suggestions on a good varmint scope? I'm thinking something with a 50 objective, being I have plenty of room for it...

Check out swfa's super sniper line. it sounds like they're about in your budget and they're pretty good glass. Big step up from the leatherwood to be sure.
