Greeting,

Work has treated me well so I finally decided to invest some extra money into a new toy. This was my first adventure with an AR-15, i.e. I've never even fired one before. I assembled the lower myself and had the upper put together by PK Firearms (great service!). I just followed the instructions that were sticky'd above. Lots of duct tape and masking tape kept the finish from getting marred. Here's what I've got:

RRA lower.
LPK from M&A Parts.
CAA G27 Grip.
MagPul Enhanced Trigger Guard.
MagPul CTR Carbine Stock.
Sabre Defence 16 inch M4 Upper W/Troy Rail.
YHM Phantom 5C2 Flash Suppressor.
CTK P3 Monogrip.
TangoDown Rail Cover.
ARMS Low Profile BUIS.

I've got an EOTech 551 and a knock-off U.A.G. 3x magnification scope on order to complete everything. I've got my 223 dies coming in today or tomorrow and plan on loading up a few hundred rounds for this Sunday. It's a 300 yard range so I'll be able to give the optics a decent run. Any thoughts?

Really nice build you have there looks great, and it looks like something I would enjoy doing too or something close to it.

If you don't mind saying where can one get a Sabre Defense 16 inch M4 Upper at and for what price ?

I picked it up from PK Firearms. Here's the exact model: Sabre Defense 16 Inch M4 Upper W/ Troy Drop-In Rail. With the options I chose it came to $730.

Alright, here she is with optics and a few other accessories. EOTech 551 and UAG x3 magnification with lower 1/3 co-witness. I also ended up using the Magpul XTM panels to cover the open rails.

What was the turnaround time on your upper from PK? I'm thinking of ordering an upper from them next month.

Insanely fast. I placed the order on a Sunday, it shipped on Monday morning, and I had it on Wednesday. Awesome customer service at PK.

Thanks for all the compliments It's been a good learning experience. Helluva lot more exciting than the Glock work I'd been doing in the past years and it was definitely time for something new too. I've already got a x5 magnifier to replace the x3. Does it ever end?
