What do you guys do for the little marks that take the finish off when you are building? I know the idea is to not make the marks in the first place but it happens

Throw it down a gravel hill, buttstroke a few....ummm.... doors, and run a couple marathons dragging it behind you. All those little nicks taken care of.

I can appreciate your concern, and the Sharpie and/or Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black will fix a lot. But as you use it, those little blemishes from assembly are going to fade into the crowd.

I don’t sweat the little marks during building.....because bigger marks are soon to follow from use.

I use Birchwood Casey Super Black. It works better than a marker.

Every mark I get on my rifles hurts. I understand its a tool and not really a show piece, but I like perfect shit. Just try not to lose too much sleep over them, there will be more.

Yah i like the marks when I pound my bolt catch roll pin in and put dings in the reciever...it dont bother me much..its gonna get scratched if u use it anyways....the rifles we use in the army are all scratched to shit and they work like champs...I dont want a safe queen but i still understand your concern +1 on the marker!
