I'm considering a stripped Mega upper for a new AR build.  The price is right and they have M4 feed ramps to match a barrel I'm also considering...

Does anyone know how well Mega uppers match DPMS lowers?  Color?  Tightness of fit?

Any comments on the quality of Mega uppers?

Advice would be appreciated.

a) See SEARCH icon at top of page.

b) Type "Mega" in criteria box.

c) Use "past 3 months" as time frame.

d) See all the nice Mega discussions that appear.



For what it's worth, all I use are Mega uppers/lowers for my builds...

My bad.  I was using the search field at the bottom of the thread-view page, not realizing the limited default time-frame.  That gave me virtually nothing as you might expect...  Thanks for the pointer.  

Nice build, btw.  Vltor stock?

My AA 50 Beowulf uses a Mega Upper, The Fitment was Great. The Anodizing is Dark Black BUT It does seem Shinier than most of my Lowers from Various Manufactures.

Thanks for the comparison picture badazzar15.  It looks like a DPMS lower's color/texture would be noticeably different from a Mega upper.  Not sure I want a two-tone AR...  

I was looking at the Spike's website, thinking to a future build with matching upper/lower.  Do you guys sell your "A3 Flat Top Upper w/ M4 ramp cuts" with a 16" M4 barrel?  I'm all for building my own, but am not ready to headspace and test a barrel/chamber.  The "Operator" and "Specter" uppers are a little beyond my current target...

Yup we have matching sets InStock, The lowers are actually on sale right now. You dont have to worry about head spacing, thats done in the barrel/barrel extention.
