This is really pt.2 of another post.... part 1 OK, I swapped out the barrel that I thought was bent and mounted it in another upper. Turns out the barrel wasn't FUBAR after all. Since I had another spare barrel I decided to try that barrel in the previous upper. Turns out that barrel is, (when using a laser bore sighter) way off to the right as well (when I say way off, I mean a few feet or more at 25 yards) . So, unless some one has a more logical conclusion, I think thats its the upper that is out of spec., which brings me to the next question.... Can the upper be corrected by machining the face of the upper? |
