This is a line from 6mmar.com's web sight "For left handed shooters we offer this custom left hand upper assembly complete. The upper can be loaded from either the left or right side, but cases eject out the right side port. The upper also has a shell deflector added on to the right side. We only use the heavy walled DPMS Low Pro upper receiver for this application to assure that the upper receiver is stiff and rigid for best accuracy." Now what's up with this heavy walled stuff. I thought everything was military spec and should be the same. Anyway my thought was, has any one cut a left ejection port on a regular flattop upper. Then installed a lefty DPMS bolt in the carrier. This would give you handy port to load singleshot from a bench or prone and it would eject on the left.hink ........................................Tom C |

It would significantly weaken the upper, so if you plan on using it for anything other than range/plinking use I would NOT suggest it. If you do end up doing it use the ejection port cover as a template. you might have gas problems too, not sure though (especially if you use a suppressor). |

The high power guys at our gun club have heavy uppers and they should take the strain. Check the photos and if they don't come up check them on the URL. Tom C http://www.6mmar.com/Left_Hand.html http://www.6mmar.com/Left_Hand.html |
