My friend recently bought a yhm railed handguard and we started by taking off the A2 and
then started on the pins on the front sight. They were a pain in the ass! when we got them
out they didn't even look tapered. the front sight won't budge. we took the gas tube out and tried applying a slight twisting force to break it free with no luck. any suggestions? The ones
i have taken off before slid right off no hassle.

I don't know how well this would work on the FSB as I've never tried it, but heating it up with like a blow dryer might help. Just a suggestion.

If you don't care about the front sight take a hammer to it and tap it off, if you do then rap it several times with tape and then tap it off w/ the hammer . Or but some clp down the barrel into where the front sight is holding on to the barrel, should help is slip off.

got it! Put thick padding in between the fsb and a vise and turned the upper with my
hand, broke free right away.
