Does it matter how the slot vents are timed ?

I just bought one to mount on a new build. Is there any conventional wisdom on how the open slots are to be arranged ? Or doesn't it matter ?

Thanks in advance.

I just screw them on, myself.  It don't matter to me which way the slots are pointing.

Depends on the model you have. The 28A doesn't need to be indexed, the 5C2 does. The 5C2 is closed off on one side, so it's pretty apparent.
