| I want to build the most authentic looking M4 I can. Of course it must be civilian legal. I have been researching on this site but still get a little confused about what is unique about M4's. Any kits out there that do it best? |

Wikipedia has a pretty good description of the M4. To get the look closest to the 14.5" M4, you need to either get a registered SBR, use a CMMG or other 14.7" barrel with a pinned FH, or get a 14.5" barrel with a pinned extended FH. If you're not set on building it yourself, it is hard to beat the 14.7" pinned M4 clones that CMMG has in their bargain bin for $650. |
