| ok guys im in the process of getting my ffl. ACTUALLY im completing the paperwork. im interested in building ar's and selling them as well as selling all other types of firearms straight from the manufacturers. I am also the sole proprietor of my own business. I am curious to know if i will need to pay for the additional license for manufacturing of firearms or if the standard ffl form 7 is sufficient. On the form it specifically asks for type 01/02 LICENSE which is the selling of firearms and on type 07 LICENSE it is labeled (manufacturer of firearms other than destructive devices). I checked both 01/02 and 07 assuming that if im putting uppers and lowers together i will need the standard ffl and the additional manufacturers license. I will, of course, be calling the atf for the specifics but im sure there will be a person with an answer on this forum that would be so kind as to help me. If any of you have been through this process PLEASE HELP. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Hope |
