| I'm working on a front BUIS and am thinking about using the low-pro gas block I have and adding a small piece of picatinny rail to the top front area of my aluminum free-float hand guard so I can attach a Troy or PRI flip up.. will this work or will it sit to high? I'm just looking for a cheaper alternative to buying a complete front sight set-up when I already have the low-pro gasblock. Any1????he |
no personal expierence, but i'm suspecting that the pic rail height will make it a tad too tall for adequate sighting in w/ std height rear sights (in which case, a tad too tall can equal several inches of height impact discrepancies at 25 yrs alone )....imo, i'd just replace your FF tube w/ a railed FF tube h/w, if you get the correct rail height, it might work; i havent done this, but you could check out the YHM add on rails to thier customizable FF tubes, those rails migth be around if not the correct height rails for std FF tubes also good luck check through here: www.yhm.net/store/forearms.html |
