Hi Guys:

I have three ARs.  Two have standard (long) handguards and I have no problems with pushing down the delta ring and snapping the handguards off.  My carbine has a different type of forend cap (near the front sight) than my rifles.  When I depress the delta ring, the handguards seem to be stuck in the cap.  Is there some sort of trick to get the handguards off?  I have a delta ring tool and even with two people, the handguards seem stuck.

no, std CAR length HGs, imo, just tend to be stuck on more--i'm guesing its b/c of the shorter length and greater direct pressure from the lower springs

the buddy system or a HG removal set will help a lot
