Is it common for the upper and lower to have a wobble in a home build?

I am looking at a Del-Ton parts kit to be biuld on either a Stag or DPMS or some other lower for arounf $100.
Is there x upper that fits tighter to y lower?  Or am I just over thinking this?

Your over thinking it but if your worried about it there is always the Accuwedge or stick to quality parts that are made to spec. DPMS isnt exactly the best Stag aint bad. LMT or RRA or CMMG will be fine just to name a few. I also like to use the same make for upper and lower.

Does the brand of the lower matter much?

I see DPMS and Stag at under $100, and Bushmaster at $200.

Not just in home builds, all ARs have play to some degree. And if you happen to have one that doesn’t have play, over time it will. But not to worry, it’s completely normal.

For best fit, buy an upper and lower from the same manufacturer.  RRAs tend to have a tight fit with non-RRA, but I have heard of some people using a rubber mallet to get the pins in...

I built my Mega Lower to a Mega upper, and it fits better than most new firearms I have seen, including my awesome Armalite.  If you are looking at the Del Ton, I would urge you to consider the J&T, and find a Double Star lower (same company).  Or go Mega/Mega, etc.

Chances are most will fit fine, but again, any wobble between the two don't usually affect accuracy, and for peace of mind can be tightened up with a cheap part. if it still bothers you.

I just put together a DPMS lower and put one of my Colt uppers on it... fit like a glove.  Just waiting for my Armalite upper to arrive and it will be mated with my DPMS lower.
