Finally got up the nerve to build my first AR.  I think i'm doing it bass ackwards though.  ordered all the parts for an upper today from Rainierarms.  Will build the lower after this endeavor is completed.  Here is what I have coming.  What do you think?

CMT upper
LMT BCG
WOA 18" SS match BBL 1:7 middy (already have three 16" AR's and one 20" and a DPMS 308)
DNTC Comp
YHM flip up front sight/gas block
Daniel Defense 9.0 FF rail

If I can piece it all together it should be a nice addition.  Damn this BRD you all talk about, I think I have it.

What do you suggest for the lower end?

Thanks and wish me luck

Good luck on the build and keep us posted on your progress.  Pix would be great once you're completed.

Well I completed it yesterday, and also built up a Noveske lower with RRA LPK and 2 stage trigger and decided to rebarrel a SOG armory upper I had on a Stag lower.  Dennys sent me a 14.7" Douglas/CLE SS barrel, and a PRI front site/gasblock.  Before this gun wouldnt shoot 3 moa to save its ass.  Now it is much better.  1-1 1/2 MOA.  Want to free float it once the funds rebound!  Waiting on the Magpul UBR stock, it is on the FEDEX truck in town today!

If you are going to build from stripped on up, look at a noveske or a lauer custom weaponry (made for them by LMT).  But the lower doesnt matter as much as what goes into your upper.  Just don't get a Black-hesse-vulcan scary parts kit  The stag/cmt parts kit will do just fine.
