My parts for my first build should begin coming in tomorrow. I have to build my lower reciever, and install my stock. Any type of special tool recommendations from you guys? Its a dpms lower, and command arms CBSt stock. Thinks alot guys for not being the type that frequently flame newbies like myself.

I just built my first lower yesterday. Put an DPMS LPK in a Mega Lower.

Went very well, no real challenges, pretty straight forward. Only special tools I used were some punches.

I barrell the upper after I save up some $$ and get a WOA 20".

I built my first lower with no special tools.  The armorer's tool sets that you can get from Brownell's, Bushmaster and others make it alot easier, though, and don't cost too much if you get one of the more basic ones.

Congratulations.

Make sure you read the step by step at the top of the Build it Yourself page.  Very helpful info, and shows you how to do it with minimal amount of special tools.  The only thing I would recommend are some punches.  You may want to get the armorer's tools if you start building multiples.  Just makes some things easier.  The main thing is to take your time and be patient.  Tape around the area your working on if you don't want the scratches.  I don't mind scratching em while shooting em, but not while building them.  Let us know how it goes.

besides punches and a soft hammer, a castle nut wrench will come in handy.

A CAR stock wrench is very nice to have for installing the stock.
