For x-mas I was planning on asking Santa for all the tools needed to build my own AR. I already own a RRA CAR stock wrench. Will my Craftsmans 3/8" drive torque wrench work? What else do I need?Wrenchs, punches, blocks, vise, guages, etc.? Is there somewhere to get all that I need or will I need to shop in different locations? Thanks. |

Here's a list of tools I have assembled: Brass punch set Brass hammer Electrical tape (to mask of areas while driving pins) Breakfree CLP oil Vice Action vice block Barrel vice block Barrel wrench (Multi tool type, and GI type.) Torque wrench Moly grease or Parts assembly lube. YHM forend wrench (don't need this if you aren't installing YHM Handguards) Standard screw driver Philips screw driver Allen wrenches I was able to find amost all of the AR specialty tools at Fulton Armory. I know Brownells and Midway have all of the tools but you may pay more, check it out to be sure. |

After my first build I got one of these from Home Depot to build my second rifle. Worked like a charm to put in pivot pin and detent. Good luck with your build! 1/4 inch universal clevis pin, less than a buck http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u180/CPOson/IMG_3057.jpg |
