What Caliber Upper Receivers can be used with a standard 5.56/.223 lower receiver?
I was just wondering how veristal the AR15 can be.

Just off the top of my head....9mm, 45, 300 whisper, 243, 50 beowolf, 7.62X39, 338 Specter, 6.8spc, 6.5 Grendel, 25 SSM, 204 Ruger..............ok, i'm tired now.

WOW!
I didn't know there were so many.
I saw a .308 AR before but the magazine port looked longer.
I guess once I get my lower built I will have to see how many uppers I can collect.

youre thinkin a 7.62x51 (NATO)

who makes the .338 spectre uppers? and can the .500 phantom be used in the standard lower?

And that would be an AR10 not an AR15.

10mm, 7.62x25, 50ae, .40 S&W, .357sig, 17rem, .22lr, .30 carbine, .458 socom, .45 bushmaster...

Just about anything that is short enough to fit in the mag well has been stuffed into an AR. I know I am missing a bunch of cartridges...
