I was at the gunshow today and found prices ranging from $18.00 up to almost $70.00.
Is there any difference in Charging Handles as far as how they are made and or quality.

Some charging handles are forged and some are extruded.  The forged handles are stronger.  The cost difference isn't much between them.  If you get much above $25 for a handle, it should come with a tac latch.  The expensive ones are the gas buster handles that block gas from hitting your eyes.  This is usually not a problem unless you are using a suppressor.

Ya I was wondering about charging handles myself I just got one from bcm and then I bought a PRI Big Latch to go with it and the latch is fine just get a decent one. No need for a 70 dollar latch mine was 20 bucks.

The forged handles are more ridged.
I only use a tac latch on my SPR with
optics. The other two ARs charging
handles have the regular latches.
For me the tactical latches seem to
get caught up on stuff to easily.

Does anybody have some examples of which manufacturers and vendors carry forged handles and which have extruded ones?

Colt, LMT, CMT, and RRA are all forged, which does not necessarily make them equal.
