Anything I should be concerned with after my recent build .50 Beo ...before I go touch it off. Has anyone had any issues with buffer/spring/tube or how about weight? Just trying to learn other peoples hard lessons before I get my own

Bought the upper in 2005. made it legit last year with a AA lower.

I was running a cheap 6 pos M4 stock, needless to say it didnt like the recoil.

Dont put your nose on the charging handle. It kind of feels like someone punched you if you do

Make sure your optics are tight.

Mines all A2 for lower, I noticed AA's lowers are A2 so I didnt think there would be any issues ...other than the 5.56 markings. Maybe I should get primitive and hand stamp a big .50 over the factory mark. Ammo is a nightmare!!

Don't re stamp just leave your lower alone, when you get enough saved up get one of these from 50Beowulf .com

It has the Alexander arms crest on the other side.

Are there any mil differences in the receiver...I hate to trouble you but could you mic.(micrometer) it and see if theres a difference. Im all about function...form means little and if its identical I can live without the norse dude (it is cool though).

Its as "Mil Spec" as a DPMS, Rock River, Bushmaster, ect......Trigger and hammer pin holes are Mil spec not Colt oversized.

No it wont take auto components. And I believe its a high shelf meaning it wont take an autosear.

no idea why anyone would want to go auto with this cannon , from muzzle climb to endangering low flying aircraft this might be a bad idea.

I've never seen any EoTech for less than $350.  When I looked at the Cabelas site, the cheapest one was $360.  Where were you looking?

sorry Ive been away...kids....ebay (if you trust the source) optics planet. but no real deals. I did get into a discussion about the ammo though. I spoke with a rep from AA and the admitted what I feared they have not released the patent and will continue to try and keep up with demand for ammo. meaning ...no free competition. this is disheartening seeing that when glock came up with a sweet little round called .45 gap they released it within a short period of time to allow manufacture by other companies....satisfied with having their name on it.... this is only my opinion but I believe until the rights to build and load it are released (shared) this will not be a universally adopted caliber....I love mine (dont get me wrong) I just dont believe in hoarding the market...It is a fantastic round for "professionals" and hunters but the "professionals' will shy away from buying something that stands on only one leg (manufacturer). again this is only my opinion.hinking.gif

i wish that others would make barrels and uppers. I can't stand the idea of paying over $600 for an upper just to get to spend a fortune on ammo. I love the idea of the power factor on the .50 Beo ammo though. It will be awhile before i can afford to get an upper at those prices.

One big improvement I would reccomend is that you replace the A2 buttplate with an A1 which has nice rounded, smooth edges as opposed to the sharp jagged edges on the A2.  Your shoulder will thank you.
