I want to build my first AR15 . I want a 24" barrel in .223 .
Where should I start . What Makers , and parts.

see all those colorful banners up above here? most of those are dealers of AR related stuff.

I recommend Bravo company, SKD, Larue, Denny's, PK firearms, hell i've dealt with just about all of them. start clicking stuff.

Yes, most of the site sponsors are good. I like J&T, Del-Ton and Bushmaster. I've never used Vulcan/Hesse/Blackthorne, but if you are thinking of using them, I'd do a search on the forum first.

I did the J&T bull barrel 24", with a Bushmaster lower, a RRA 2 stage trigger, and a cheapo Barska SWAT scope and with the following sub 1" group at 100 yards off the bipod:

I've been very pleased with the results. The rifle shoots better than I'm capable of shooting.

+1 for J&T. I have a 20" HBAR upper of theirs that is very accurate. I would imagine their 24" bull would be just as good.

Don't overlook the DPMS 24 inch uppers. They are very accurate.
