just put a H2 buffer in my 556 carbine. is that too much? it had problems cycling. just put a new gas tube and 1 piece rings in also. the old rings looked new btw

An h2 will run fine in a carbine that is working already. It would depend on the problems you are having. If it is an Underdrive (my own term for not enough "drive" on the carrier) problem then it will increase the troubles. If it is an Overdrive problem, it might help.  Let us know how it turns out.
