| First off, I would like to say hello to everyone! This is my first post here. Now to the point. I have been machining a couple DSA lower blanks on the 'ol Bridgeport. I really wanted the satisfaction of building something myself, and the flexibility to be able to put whatever parts I wanted into the build. The results with the lowers have been fantastic and I was looking at some upper blanks on DSA. I want to tackle one, but have no idea where to start. I have a really nice web book on finishing the lowers, but so far have not been able to find squat on machining the upper blanks. Can anyone point me in the right direction to a good tutorial for finishing blank uppers? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I have access to a machine shop, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a tutorial using like a drill press, XY table. I have full DRO machining capability. |
