Just got through putting a build together and there is something wierd going on with the receiver plate vs. the charging handle.  My plate sticks up just a very little over the castle nut (not much at all) but its enough that the charging handle is hitting it and not allowing it to retract back past the plate.  I switched plates with another one I had and it was doing the same thing.
Is there any certain brands you guys are using (plates) or do you have any ideas....???

I have three from Magpul that work fine. I'd bust out a file and take it downa  bit. Shouldn't be that hard.

Yeah I already did that and it works but...now the finish of course is gone and yeah I could use some cold blue or Super Black finish pen but I would rather just have a new plate that works right.

What brand of rifle do you have now?

I have Vltor sling attachments and they are the bomb diggity, they make "regular" ones too though.

I didn't think of Vltor...Thanks I will take a look.

My rifle is one I built up using Magpul CTR stock, DPMS Lower, RRA LPK with 2-stage NM Trigger, KNS non-rotational pins, Troy front & rear BUIS, LaRue 16" Stealth Upper Receiver w/ Vortex flash suppressor.

Everything is perfect except for the "cheapy" lock plate I bought @ a gunshow.
