Hello from Maine, I have a 20" barrelled "classic" AR15. I like the look of the "rifle legnth tubes" on the 16" barrels, so I would like one that is long enough to almost cover a 20" barrel. Maybe 18". Does one exist? Thank you, Craig |

That's a great looking rig you have there. Here is mine: http://upload6.postimage.org/408946/2.jpg http://upload8.postimage.org/114757/Dscf0005c.jpg I don't have an FF tube in front of me so I don't know how complicated they are - do you think it's something I could have my machinist whip up real easy like? I was thinking of a smooth tube with "timing" and a sling stud on the bottom. Not a very tall order I suppose... Thanks, Craig p.s. Is that a thread protector on your muzzle? I was thinkign of getting one fo those or an AK74 style brake (the most efficient design for 33 years!). The muzzle jump with the flash supressor is a drag when using a scope. |

OK, I e-mailed a bunch of companies looking for a long tube, so far Oly Arms is the only one that knows of any and it's out of stock: ------------ Craig, The longest free-float tube we make is 12-1/2" long. We do offer a free-float FIRSH quad-rail forearm which is 16-1/4" long. This is our Part No. F8LCR, at $155; I fear it is currently out of stock. I have not heard a projected resupply date. Thanks-- Lee ------------ This company may have it in stock, they have instructions for it: http://www.triplebreakproducts.com/Olympic/firsh.htm |
There are not any available off-the-shelf that I am aware of. However, there are a couple companies that WILL do them. D&L shooting sports White Oak You might also check with hiperform. They custom make carbon fiber handguards. www.hiperform.com |
