| Can I slap a 9mm upper on my standard lower or is there more to it than that? Who is good to deal with for getting the upper/ other parts needed? Do I need a special mags to match the upper or is there a universal mag. Thanks |
| If you go with the popular Coly style 9mm system, then you need this: a complete 9mm upper (I suggest Rock River Arms), a conversion block (I sugest the Hahn deticated mag block, can be bought from www.brownells.com), Colt 9mm mags, 9mm buffer (RRA), a hammer without the notch cut into it. Or if you are using a fixed A2 stock then you don't need the 9mm buffer. If you want cheaper mags to use, then get the Hy-tech mag block and standard UZI mags. The Olympic Arms system, you just need the upper and mags from them. But most people much prefer the Colt style setup. |
