Well im just about their, ive been S.L.O.W.L.Y working on this ol girl for ages. C-more here, new mags there. But not long ago some drunk assmunch decided to try to break in at 02:30 and give me a wake up call. the full stock and inability to use a flashlight to find the mags, hold the light, load the weapon, and do all this while yelling at the perp and my GF was to much to handle (THANK GOD FOR THE GF KEEPING HER HEAD ABOUT HER, CALLING 911 AND KEEPING ME LEVEL HEADED)The old configuration was a Bushmaster xm15 a2, with a2 stock and m4 16" barrell and c-more scout : http://home.comcast.net/~southern_maven/oldstick.JPG The new system is a much better system for home defence: the same rifle, but with a tapco 6 position stock in OD that came with a free Tango Down battle grip in OD also (could not resist that deal). Also from the wonderfull people at Ranier arms I got a Yankee Hill machine 2 piece carbine rail system (should have gotten the delta ring tool, cause it was a PITA to put on, again thank God for the GF)And also got the Viking Tactical light mount from them, They will be getting my business again, great folks.Lastly I got a Surefire G2, some magpul's and ladder rail covers from J&T at a local gun show , they will also be getting my business again because they gave me an awesome deal on my Vert grip. This isnt really "BUILDING " a firearm, but mostly modifying one, but I gigured you would enjoy it never the less. The finished product is MUCH more user frendly: http://home.comcast.net/~southern_maven/newstick.JPG Enjoy, have fun with your own projects and just wait for my next one, an SPR ...but thay will be a story for another day .. |
