Well, like the title says, im new to ARs but ive been lurking for about a month now and am slowly getting parts together for my first build, but now comes my question.

Ive been looking at the Del-Ton rifle kits (the sans lower ones) and they seem like the best deal. I'm just wondering if (for the money) I've over looked a better company.

also, if you have any tips or tricks for a first time builder let's hear em...

thanks ahead of time...this is a great forum from what ive seen so far.

Welcome EvanMF, sorry, I personally haven't used Del-Ton (yet) but I've read posts from many satisfied AR15.commers!

I have a del-ton M4 upper and it's very nice.  It came with a cracked M4 handguard and they shipped me new set the same day.  I had them in a few days.  I spoke to a very nice lady in customer service.  She stated they were super busy.
As far as tips go; buy yourself a good AR-15 assembly book and find a good brass punch set and a roll pin punch set.  Watch out for flying parts during assembly.
