http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/10/web/622000-622999/622649_117_full.jpg That's how the Anvil Arms lower will look after laser-engraving. I pick it up Saturday. I am now in the time warp where it seems like a day passes per minute while I wait for the Fed-Ex truck to bring the kits. I'm making a loose facsimile of an XM177E2. A1 upper with brass deflector, 16" HB with 5" slip-over flash hider, 6 position CAR stock, leaving the bayonet lug on. Retroesque, not retro. I like anachronisms! |

Nunchucks! I see that I am not an artist. That's supposed to be a lambda made from clubs. This is what I get for taking an inside joke and going public, I guess. The Laconic arms idea occurred to me because of Molon Labe. Spartans are from Laconia, symbolized by a lambda in some art I have seen. I mentioned the Laconic Arms thing to a friend and _HE_ said the laconic suggested to him "Speak softly and carry a big stick". A club is a big stick... Thus my logo was hatched. I am a better draftsman than artist, it would seem.http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/10/web/622000-622999/622649_118_full.jpg Do those look more like clubs and less like nunchucks? |

Did I say I was going to build AN AR from parts? Um, yeah...hy.gif Looks more like three. Anvil Arms lowers, got them engraved while I waited at the Suncoast Gunshow at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. Jon's a hoot! Every member of his staff was helpful and friendly too. As it stands, these are also the only parts I have in hand, but it's a great start! http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/10/web/622000-622999/622649_123_full.jpg |
HAH! The Marvin the Marian one is great! |

I hear you. I've been waiting since last month! (Granted I ordered on the 28th). But they replied to my e-mail asking when to expect shipment. And they replied at 9:30 p.m. So they're dedicated and if that many people are ordering, it must mean they are acceptable in the quality department. I look hopefully towards a future with a Del-Ton gun in hand since the Class III phaser rifles are still a bit of a streach. live long and prosper... |
