I just got my new CTR stock and need to take off my old stock body. Its a standard cmt 6 pos.  How do I get it off?

ETA: Got it off now how do I put the new CTR stock on? How tight should it be to the tube? Mine seems very snug?

either remove the buffer tube, or do it the easy way: pull straight down on the release/adjustment tab, slide stock all the way to the rear

its been a while and i've only done it once....if i remember right, you simply pull down on the horizontal black tab/round bar and slip it on as it was on the M4--it will be tighter to do so h/w

Do you have a Mil Spec tube?  The CTR will only fit on a Mil Spec Tube.
What kind of stock did you take off of the rifle?

eta

You have to pull the 2 tabs on each side of the release leaver.  They look like 2 little metal dowels sticking out on each side right above the lever.

yes its a CMT. It seems to big for the stock. The stock is for a mil spec tube.  It is very snug and I dont want to force it to much.  If I had didnt have a mil spec tube it would be loose on the tube correct?

What alphaghost said......I wasn't aware any other were available but I know from the 2 that I have purchased I replaced the tubes.  Fit should be snug but not the gut busting type.
