[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Chrome lined bbl in M4

I'm starting my first M4 build and wanted to get some opinions on whether getting the chrome lined barrel is really necessary? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I prefer chrome lining because it is easier to clean, more durable, and corrosion resistant. All those things combined are worth the extra $40-$50 to me. YMMV.

usually a longer bbl life also (rnd wise)

h/w, a CL bbl is not necessary for the avg shooter, unless they plan on getting rough w/ em...
