I am preparing to start a build on a Stag lower that I have.  This will be a bench/varmint gun only.  I am curious what my options are for lower parts in kit or non kit form.  I am wanting a higher quality trigger than a standard AR trigger and an ERGO grip or something of the sort that is not standard in most LPKs.  It seems my options are to either buy a generic kit for $50 - $70 and buy a separate trigger kit and grip, or go the RRA route and pay $180 - $200 to get it all in one package.  My question is, is there another alternative?  Are there cheaper trigger options or mods to eliminate creep and trigger weight to the level this gun would require?  Is there a better approach/price to get what I need without wasting money on triggers/grips that I will not use?

Thank you and I apologize for such a beginner question. I have been reading here for a while and even though I may have read the answer to my very questions before, I can't recall it right now.

White Oak Armament will sell you a Stag LPK without a trigger for $36.52.

Now you're free to get an upgraded trigger of your choice.

That sounds like a good option. Thanks.

RBPrecision will do the same thing.  I recently ordered a LPK minus trigger group and pistol grip.

Getting a good trigger isn't cheap.  Wish it was.  I have both the RRA trigger from Adco, and a Geiselle trigger.  Night and day.  I wanted the RRA to be good enough at less than half the price.  It was good, but not good enough IMO for a bench rifle if your goal is the highest accuracy.  The Geiselle is.  It is amazing.

Yes, the RRA is cleaner feeling, but it still feels like a 'service trigger', just a better one.  The Geiselle is (and feels like) a precision trigger, and you can adjust it to taste, take up and lef off.
