| I just got done with my first AR15. I just need to know when installing the bolt and carrier assembly into the upper does it need to headspaced? Thanks |

If the parts are of reputable manufacture (mil spec / industry standard) and the barrel extension on the barrel was factory installed then the head spacing has already been done. i.e. The head spacing is done when the barrel extension is installed on the barrel by the manufacture. They uses a mil spec bolt guage to set the head space. Hope this helps. I have built five kits and never had a head space problem. Good luck |
