What is the story with Mega not pushing anything out. I have been wanting a Mega stripped lower receiver, especially marked 9mm, but I can't find the damn things anywhere. A year or two ago you couldn't walk three feet without stumbling through a pile of them. Does any one else, other than RRA, sell a stripped lower marked 9mm?![]() ETA: I missed them last time Rainier Arms had them in stock. Is this the only dealer ordering them? I have found a few on the internet that have them on their sites, but they are ALWAYS out of stock. |

I went on a Mega "hunt" for there lowers about 3 weeks ago. Couldn't find any. Not to menchen I left a email with Rainier Arms via their website and never did hear back from them. Why is a 9mm marking so important to you? All the Mega's I have seen are marked Muti cal. Wolf |

Well I can understand that. As far as find one good luck. I rate them at the top of line. I have one and love it. Not a big fan now of Stag and RRA due to their wried FCG spacing that won't allow you to remove the FCG without losing the pistol grip. I have 3 Stags like this and and buddy of mine has two RRA's that are like this as well. When I actually get time I think I will call Stag and ask WTH is going on. But I'm expecting to just get hung up on. We shall see. Wolf. ---> loves Mega lowers!! |
| Mega's can seem difficult to find at times, but they are very nice and you won't be dissapointed. I'm waiting for more uppers to come in, myself. I remember reading that AR parts are just a portion of their business. They apparently do quite a bit of work for the aerospace industry. I imagine that keeps them rather busy. |

I was hunting for a couple more mega lowers and ended up going with Ameetec lowers this time.no issues with the FCG and they went together quick and easy also a very nice looking receiver.I still need another mega lower to go with a stripped mega upper I have though.. |
You are correct. Their primary work is for the aerospace industry, and AR15 items are secondary. I'm hoping to start seeing products from them in Jan, but I'll beleive ti when I see it. They seem to have an odd schedule, and at times get receivers out when we didn't expect them (both earlier and later than forecasted). For anyone who sent us an email regarding Mega lowers, or any other email that didn't get returned, resend it. Either it never came through to us, or it never made it back out to you, but we make it a point to answer questions whenever possible, even if its not always the answer people like.

As someone who had decided on a STAG lower for my build, this information causes me some concern. Is this a serious defect or is it just a minor quirk of the STAG/CMT design? Should I go ahead and get the STAG or should I consider another lower? Sorry for the thread hijack. ![]() |
Just a follow up on the above. After hours trying to fig out WTH was going and talking to STAG which btw has great CS. They said it might be the LPK used. The "New ones" "STAG LPK"you have to rotate the safety to the 1030ish POS while pushing up on the FCG to get it out. This does work for everything but a RRA 2 stage and JP setup. What I ended up doing was ordering DPMS safety selectors and that solved the problem. Seems the DPMS ones are made just alittle better to allow removal without having to fight it. I like my STAG's but still like my Mega's better. wolf |
