Is it possible to cut down an A2 butt stock rather than buy a different one, and has anyone tried it?

You can cut it down but since the bottom of the stock is angled you'll end up with a butt that is much smaller than the butt plate.

Just sell your A2 on the EE and buy what you want. Lots better than cutting one down.

I tried to reshape a wood stock on an old rifle awhile back and it turns out i suck at things that involve cutting strait lines. leave the fabrication work to the pro's.

Did you forget that there is a receiver extension in there ?
