Hello everyone, I need some help, I want to purchase an upper receiver but I’m torn between two types. The first one is the Vltor MUR upper and the second one is the Larue Stealth upper. Does anyone have any information regarding these uppers, basically pro’s or con’s to each. Thanks in advance.

I prefer the Larue. I like that it looks like an ordinary AR upper.

The MUR is a great upper, but not very appealing to me.

If you are using a forged lower, go with the Larue, but if you want to use a billet lower, the vltor upper looks beautiful on it. Its whatever you want to do with the build.

I would go with the LaRue.

I actualy have a CMT on my M4gery, but you can never go wrong with LaRue gear. That's a man that stands by his products.

For a Intermediate range/Varmint/SPR etc. type build I would go with the VLTOR just for shits and grins.

For a battle rifle, lighter is better, so I would check to see what the difference in weight between the LaRue, Milspec, and VLTOR.

I have ordered the A3 Stealth and it should be in next week. I believe this upper to be good for about any application.
