[ARCHIVED THREAD] - K marked upper?

The thread for the upper receiver markings does not seem to be functioning yet. I have a C-7 type upper marked with a K below the recess below the rear sight and carry handle. I wasn't sure if this is a Kiser mark or what. I picked it up as a complete uppper with Colt BCG at a pawn shop fro $250.

Most of the K marked ones I have seen had another letter that was ground off to the upper left of the K. Got a few from Bushmaster like that a good while back.

What'll ya bet that the original ground off letter was a "C", and Colt stuck Keiser with a bunch of forgings when the services adopted the A2 type

Looking closer ther could be some rub marks preceeding the K. Thanks. HArd to see through the spray paint though.

Shoots good. Can't complain. Cost a total of $394 for this build.
