I went with Del-Ton for my 1st kit and I love it. I called them up and requested a lo- pro gas block and rifle length YHM 4 rail hand guard on the 16 inch upper and they said no prob. Hunter121

What do you think of the J&T kits? The price on the 20" rifle is nice...

Have gone with Model 1 and with Delton. Both were fine and would order from both of them again.

Damn, that Rainier Arms kit comes with some pretty high speed parts.

exactly- there is not a better parts kit IMHO (chrome would be nice though but not necessary)

I went w/ M&A and am happy. You pay less if you order online w/ them rather than calling them.

I have to ask a stupid question, who is M&A?

What does everyone think about Stag? I've heard good things and their prices seem to be good.

M and A Parts will be at the Princeton IL Gun Show this weekend. Two tables full of uppers and three or four tables of parts big and small.
It would be a long ride for you guys but it's only 15 minutes for me. Gotta give PAM some money!!!!

M1S tends to use parts of questionable manufacture (ChiCom?)

I have had nothing but top notch service and parts from J&T

I have also had good experience with M&A

M&A worked out for me=HBAR 16" midi gas system, upper could not match my RRA lower better! I DID have to take a millimeter or so off a detent, but 240 rounds and less than $675 later for my total build (including shipping, trns. fee, and a mag) I would do it again. Know that M&A's prices a set up weird. They have one price for calling in an order (the highest), another for ordering online, and the cheapest is to call and get a catalogand, then order out of the catalog. Good luck

I'll be picking up a M&A DCM kit 11/11. I'll post pics and review it then. I guess I never noticed the pricing structure as I normally just visit their booth at the shows.

Tagged for info purposes, and to ask:
Does anyone know of a mid-length flat top kit that is reasonable?  I am interested in having a removable carry handle for it.
Thanks!

pick any two then flip a coin Ask about any one and you will get good and bad replies thay all have good and bad results ay one time or another. Any one who has ever had an issue with any of the parts houses will have posted about it then some one else who saw that bad review posted about it and so on. Same goes to a lesser degree with good reviews.
In shoret any parts house Model 1 Del Ton ect can get you the kit or parts you want.

I also have a JT 20" Kit that I bought right after the sunset of the ban, no problems after nearly 1K rounds.  They did send me a funky star-shaped selector in the LPK that definitely was not milspec, but when I called them on it they sent me a new one no charge.  I have yet to see a bad review of JT.  I don't think they sell a midlength though.  JT gets my vote.

What do you think of the J&T kits? The price on the 20" rifle is nice...

Their kits go together like clockwork with a DoubleStar or RRA or DPMS lower.

I chose to go with a DoubleStar lower to match my CAR-15 upper.

$535 for a 20" varminter kit? Why do they do this to me!

I still use my first kit from M&A. No problems. I like RRA, so my next complete build will be one of theirs.
