| Disconnector will not hold hammer far enough down to allow bcg to go into battery when ch is pulled. I just installed new hammer and trigger pins but they appear to be installed correctly. Does anyone have any ideas? |

Something is "off" Like you didnt know that...sorry man. What did you install new. have you disassmbled it and tried again? Have you put the "old" part back in. Are you 100% sure of anything...like the springs are in correctly, springs didnt get changed with, "I think this came from here" type spring. Look around for left over parts.... |

What I did was install the new KNS anti-rotation trigger and hammer pins. They went in very easily as per instructions and the darn thing just will not work. After I realized I had this new problem I took them out and reinstalled everything with the factory pins. The springs appear to be installed correctly. The trigger group and hammer function correctly except for the problem I described. It is like the hook on the disconnector that holds the hammer reawrad after charging is too short or something. Or the spring that pushes the disconnector into the rear of the hammer is underpowered? Thanks again for your interest in helping my dumba**! |

Ok since the weapon is now broke with and without the original parts, then its in the way you are putting them back in, or you are forgetting to install something. I serioult doubt you droke a part and dont know it. I'm sure someone knows this but I'm looking at mine now and cant for the life of me see why this would happen. Take the stuff out again. Get out a step by step instruction sheet for reassmbly..(NOT the instructions from the new parts package)...get one from here of the weapons maker site. Do not take assume anything you are doing is correct...make yourself the think you have never done this before and do it all by the book. Hopefully some1 will see this and know exacty what is going on...til then trouble shoot it and try to fix it. |

Thank you mvician! I just received the same answer in the Colt Industry forum. This is my only Colt and I screwed up when ordering the pins. It is remarkable to me how tight the wrong ones really felt though. Until I switched back to the factory parts the second time I really thought something was broken. Thanks again for your help! |
