I'm trying to remove a YHM free float railed HG that came on this particular upper. I didn't install it. I've read the tacked guide for this installation, but I'm not clear on which way I should attempt to turn the lock/jam nut to unlock it and remove the HG. Anyone have the answer? |
| If it is the newer version with the two locking screws on the sides, remove those with a flathead screwdriver. Then, as you view the upper from the rear, as if you were firing it, the jam nut turns counter clockwise. If you don't have a spanner wrench, you can use a good, wide blade screwdriver and hammer, just be sure and support the assembly firmly (use an action block if you have one) and be careful, so you don't damage the jam nut.
