| I want to register a lower I already own and maybe put an LMT 10.5" on it. Do I use the Application to Make and Register a Firearm? Also, I've seen some hints about SBR's not cycling properly, thus creating the need for a Noveske suppressor? Please excuse my naivety, but if there is a good reference on SBR's I could be directed to, I would appreciate it. |

SBRs cycle FINE if you get a good upper. The Colt 11.5 and the LMT 10.5 both run like a top. Bigbore says the LMT 10.5 fails in sub zero temps, but we don't see that type of weather down here.  I have two LMT 10.5s and they'll sing songs all day long so far. No special suppressors needed. I've used A2 flash suppressors, Vortexes, and M4-2k phantomsI'm also told that CMMG's 11.5 purrs like a kitten. There's a great FAQ on how to get this done in the Class 3 Firearms forum. Check it out, it'll tell you all you need to know. Don't be intimidated, it's not as hard as it sounds and it's well worth it. |
